| The Good Life |

Today is my first official day of unemployment. Tuesday was technically my last day of work but since i always have Wednsdays off, i used yesterday as a trial run for what's in store. i must admit, and i don't want to get everyone's hopes up here, but i think i'm going to be reeeally good at this unemployment business. i really believe i got a nitch for this sort of thing, taking into consideration of course my extremely delicate sensibilities when it comes to more excuses to laze about. i've already almost nailed the perfect t.v. programming: Tyra Banks at 10 am, then of course Magnum P.I. and Little House on the Prairie, thank goodness for HBO. i never left the house at all, and never changed out of my pajamas, including when i fook a long bath at 5 pm and then put on different pajamas.
Today i'm thinking of celebrating my first official day of unemployment by buying an entirely new pair of pajamas althogether. i am nothing if not consistent. And, you know, jobless. |

if you haven't got the new Tennis Pro album in yer hot lil' hands, i highly recommend you snatch it up real quick like. it made the whole trip to Seattle's Rockergrrl Convention this weekend totally worth it, aside from actually being able to hang out with T.P. in the flesh while there. But just since Sunday, this music has made me dance in my underwear twice, sing in the shower twice, and even stopped me mid-brushing-my-teeth today in order to be able to use my electric toothbrush as a microphone. i wouldn't lie about something like that.
it's that good.
That is all i have to say.
Except that tomorrow is my last day at work! Can i getta Awww Yeah! |

My shoes went on an adventure!
First, they needed to get some money..
Needing a haircut, they began their adventure, meeting many fun people along the way.
Look both ways!
Thirsty, and low on energy, they stopped for a coffee.
They continued their journey...
That food smelled delicious!
Finally, they made it!
Now to show the world our fancy new haircut!
I think they liked it. Now to bike back home!

| Family Pizza Night |

Peter and i have started this phenomenal recording project called "Family Pizza Night" using just a 4 track, ghetoblaster and Pro Tools then incorporating guitar, drums (Peter) bass and casio/organ (Xtina). Shredder (the cat) will be on tambourine and toys, especially the rattling mouse, he loves that one. Shredder's got mad skillz, yo!
i think we're aiming for a potpouri blend of the Moldy Peaches, the Run for Cover Lovers, and Folk Implosion (in a good way). "Family Pizza Night" is more of a concept album in that we dress up as your typical family members i.e. Peter in a tie and briefcase and yours truly in an apron and perfectly applied lipstick, and have songs entitled Bobby is Suspended from School because He Ate the Poop on a Dare, and Dad Didn't Get the Job Promotion, so Mom is Working Overtime, along with many other hits.

| A Very Productive Practice |

We usually have very efficient practices and are pretty diligent about making use of our time, but then there's those ones every so often that comes up that don't leave us much to reflect upon. Last night, for example we got into a very debated conversation right off the bat over personal preferences of pads vs. tampons, Playtex Gentle Glide is like butter compared to Tampax in my personal opinion, this of course naturally and inevitably evolved into birth control methods and we fully analyzed the pros and cons of condoms vs. the pill vs. the ring vs. the patch.... Once that was settled, we really hunkered down and put our heads together to figure out what on earth we were going to wear to our shows next weekend, which could've easily taken all night. But we all agreed on the outcome in a fairly decent amount of time, played a few songs and then went home early.
Who says Girl Bands aren't hardcore. A dude couldn't have lasted 10 minutes last night.
On a completely unrelated note, i am going to stab the radio DJ who has started to play xmas carols on the office muzak already. i mean, WTF! i'm still holding out for a few more good days of summer on the horizon, actually.
i've agreed to stay on board here till they find a replacement for my position in which at that time i'll be rewarded with this supposedly terrific letter of recommendation upon my eventual departure. i thought this would be cinchy with all the resumes pouring in all day long. Unfortunately everyone applying are dumb of ass and apparently don't know what it means when an ad says: Dental Experience Required! i tell ya.
Still don't know what to name my new cat either.
Thank Goodness it's Friday, i need a break.
